This photograph captures a moment of anticipation and excitement during the Navajo Nation's largest parade. The two riders in the foreground are clearly eager to make their way to the front of the procession, and their horses appear to share in their enthusiasm. In the background, the sun is just beginning to rise over the mesa, casting a warm and inviting light over the scene. The air is filled with the rich and delicious aroma of traditional frybread and mutton while the sounds of joyous laughter and celebration can be heard echoing through the crowd. This photograph stands as a powerful symbol of Navajo culture and identity, reminding us of the profound importance of community and tradition.

Bio: My name is Rowena White-Claw, and I come from the small town of Kayenta, AZ, situated in the Navajo Nation. I am a full-time student at Diné College, where I am currently working towards my BFA and BA degrees. As an artist, I have explored various forms of art, but I found my true passion in landscape and lifestyle photography. To me, photography is more than just capturing an image; it's about telling a story - a story of life, love, hope, and everything in between. I believe that every picture has a unique perspective, and I strive to capture that perspective through my lens. My dedication and passion for photography inspire me every day, and I hope to share my vision with as many people as possible.
