Session 2: Indigenous Digital Collective Workshop Tasters

Previews of digital media projects. Four presenters associated with the Inclusive Design Research Centre in Toronto CA will present short summaries of their work that preview upcoming Indigenous Design Collective workshops. Recorded summary presentations will be followed by Q&A discussions with the audience.

Antranig Basman

Antranig Basman is director of Lucendo Development Ltd., which specialises in sustainable, open source development for the academic sector, with a particular interest in search, display, and durable repository applications.

 

Colin Clark

Computational media artist, creator of Flocking and Aconite, inclusive design researcher.

 

Sandra Danilovic

Sandra Danilovic, Ph.D. - Assistant Professor, Game Design & Development, Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, Wilfrid Laurier University.
Computer game design researcher, multimedia artist, filmmaker. 

 

Simon Bates

Simon Bates is the Senior Inclusive Developer at OCAD University based in Canada.

 

Jutta Treviranus

Jutta Treviranus is the Director of the Inclusive Design Research Centre (IDRC) and professor in the faculty of Design at OCAD University in Toronto (http://idrc.ocadu.ca ). Jutta established the IDRC in 1993 as the nexus of a growing global community that proactively works to ensure that our digitally transformed and globally connected society is designed inclusively. Dr. Treviranus also founded an innovative graduate program in inclusive design at OCAD University. Jutta is credited with developing an inclusive design methodology that has been adopted by large enterprise companies, as well as public sector organizations internationally.
